Per user rooms for highly frequented sites
metroflog.com and fotolog.com had lots of avatars. They have been configured to use a room per user account. people visiting the same account will meet each other. But it will hopefully be much less crowded on the main page.
On the way, the "explicit entry" function has been fixed for the email services of yahoo.com, msn.com, and live.com.

Google India
Too many people on google.co.in made Google slow. Applied the well proven "manually enter" button to google.co.in.
Reason: Google is a dispatcher. It can be regarded as street crossing where many people walk by and leave quickly. If you want to meet people there, then enter manually. But usually you just search and leave without much communication.

YouTube, Nicovideo

YouTube
There are 10 rooms on youtube in the video section. Rooms are currently assigned to segments of the video ID space by the leading letter of the ID. Four letters are combined into a room., e.g. a-d and e-h.
Yet, these rooms are already crowded and something has to be done. The question is now if the ID space is split up further, e.g. by single leading letter or even 2 letters OR if we jump directly to the ultimate destination and make a room for each video.
After all, virtual presence is about meeting people with similar interest based on the content. If there is a room per video, then you know that the person you meet watches the same video as you are. The perfect reason to talk.
Are we ready for that, yet?

5 rooms for nicovideo
The japanese video site "nicovideo" has been split into 5 rooms. One for the home page www.nicovideo.jp and 4 for the videos. Relevant is the first number of the video ID (after the "/watch/sm"). People meet if they watch the same video. But the video watching crowd is distributed over 4 rooms for video ID starting with 0-2, 3-5, 6-7, and 8-9. Also, if the host name starts with anything except "www.", then this is interpreted as a country domain and taken into account. So, de.nicovideo.jp is different from www.nicovideo.jp. Please see the nicovideo.xml.

TLD style handling inside ccSLDs
Some countries subscribed to SLD domains, like .uk, .in, .br. They introduce another level like ".co." (in .uk) and ".com." (in .br). But sometimes they also register directly under the country code. Example: orkut india is www.orkut.co.in, but century21india is www.century21india.in. So be it.
